I’m not new to politics and really understand how the establishment works. How ‘needed’ candidates are being pushed through with ‘strings attached’ and later payoffs. During my service in the Assembly, I have encountered many hurdles where decisions had to be made based on the pressure from above or doing what’s right. I always made the right choice and supported my political colleagues/ ‘friends’ with all their initiatives.
Lately, these so called ‘friends’ are telling me how sorry they are to endorse one of my opponents – on some occasions they don’t even know his name – but they just know that he’s being pushed by the establishment and therefore they need that support.
I’m not surprised and actually was expecting that. I truly think that this makes me a stronger candidate. I owe nobody. My resume and work done for this community speaks for itself. All my endorsements were gained by interviews not inherited from previous office holder. However, once again, I see how weak current leadership is and how much we need to break this cycle of political incompetence for this city.
Ironworkers carried this American Flag throughout the streets of Bay Ridge Brooklyn today marking the 147th Kings County Memorial Day Parade, hosted by the United Military Veterans of Kings County. This is the oldest continuously run Memorial Day Parade in the nation, and it takes place right here in Brooklyn each year. Alec Brook-Krasny salutes them, and all who gave their lives for our nation on this hallowed day.
New York City PBA endorses Alec Brook-Krasny for City Council” Your commitment to addressing the issues affecting New York City police officers is well recognized, and it would be an honor to have you representing our members in the New York City Council. We look forward to working with you towards our goal of a stronger, safer New York.”
“I am thrilled to have the endorsement of the men and women who risk their lives each day to keep our city safe.”
I hope you’ll watch this lively debate between me and my opponents in the June 12 Democratic Primary.
Campaigning gives you an opportunity to meet some beautiful members of your future constituency.
My cat Phil gives Paws Up to the “Voters for Animal Rights” endorsement of my candidacy in the June 22 Democratic Primary for City Council.
“Alec is a great human, and a terrific can opener. I am very happy other humans have endorsed him for City Council,” said Phil. “Though I am concerned that his dedication and the long hours he will work for his constituents may mean less ear scratches for me. I will survive. Please vote for Alec.”
